The Hiding Place
There is a hiding place in Me,
where the sun always shines,
shadows disappear, and peace abounds.
The whirlwind and cares of life do not matter—
for they are far below.
In this place, I refreshed the weary soul,
and fill my empty vessels.
Here, I water and tend my precious children.
Have I not said, “by still waters I restore the soul?”
Many are tired, confused, and empty,
because they do not take time
to enter the hiding place of my Presence.
I watch! I wait! I Am here! Just come.
Do not allow the cares of life to carry you away.
I Am an oasis in the wilderness,
but many hurry by without taking time to drink.
It grieves My heart,
because I know what great trials lie ahead.
Many pass by relying on their own strength,
rather than living water.
When they fall or faint,
they wonder why the way is so hard.
Remember my admonition:
“ Cursed is the man who trusts in man
Who depends on flesh for his strength.
And whose heart turns away from the Lord.
He will be like a bush in the wasteland;
He will not see prosperity when it comes.
He will dwell in the parched places of the desert,
in a salt land, where no one lives.
But blessed is the man who trusts in the Lord,
Whose confidence is in Him.
He will be like a tree planted by the water,
that sends out roots by the stream.
It does not fear when heat comes,
It’s leaves are always green
It has no worries in a year of drought,
and never fails to bear fruit.” Jeremiah 17:5–8
Come And be refreshed!
The desert and parched land will be glad.
The wilderness will rejoice,
blossom, and shout for joy.
The burning sand will become a pool,
and the thirsty ground bubbling springs.
