Endurance
When you run a race you must put forth all the physical energy you possess. To complete this race, you must endure to the end. Is there not much to be endured in pain, discomfort, and anguish of many kinds? What keeps you moving in spite of the suffering is the anticipation of the prize, which can only be gained by running the race—enduring to the end.
So it is with you, child. Grow not weary in well doing! Trust and believe
I Am in control, even when you do not understand why I do not quickly change a circumstance in your life. I know you feel you could better serve Me if a different atmosphere surrounded you, but I want you to trust in My divine wisdom and timing. Have I not kept you even in the midst of your surroundings? Will I not continue to do so?
When you fret over those things that are in My hands, you bring into operation forces, contrary to faith, and open the door to all manner of destructive thought processes that drain your spiritual energy.
You sing of my faithfulness. Now add works to your faith. Child, rest in the midst of the circumstances in which I have placed you that only I can change.
In this will your victory be found; prevailing over the situation and enduring until the day I appear to deliver you out. This is your race in this hour, loved one. Draw strength from Me and fight the good fight!
